My Ph.D. research is on Native Hawaiian involvement in the maritime fur trade of the late 18th and early to mid- 19th centuries, as well as Hawaiian diaspora within the larger Pacific world.
My M.A. research was a comparative study on the acculturation of Christianity by the Aztecs or Nahuas of early colonial Mexico and by the Chinese of the late Ming and early Qing periods.
