Join us for the book launch of The Hundred-Year Trek: A History of Student Life at UBC. Justin McElroy, BA'11, will moderate a panel discussion with the book's author Sheldon Goldfarb, UBC's Alma Mater Society Archivist, Dave Frank, Sophia Haque, and Nestor Korchinksy, on key events in the history of student life at UBC. You will be able to purchase the book at the event or online at UBC Bookstore.

This event is presented by the AMS in partnership with alumni UBC and Heritage House Publishing.



About the Presenter

Sheldon Goldfarb, UBC alum with degrees in English and Archival Studies; also a history degree from McGill, who now works for the AMS.

Sheldon Goldfarb has been the archivist of UBC's Alma Mater Society for over twenty years. He holds multiple degrees, including a master's in Archival Studies and an MA and PhD in English. He is the author of the young adult novel Remember, Remember, which was shortlisted for an Arthur Ellis Award, as well as academic books on William Makepeace Thackery and dozens of literary essays, book reviews, and biographical articles.
