History 104A (227) Topics in World History: State Intervention and International Law in World History
In 2018W, the topic is State Intervention and International Law in World History. This course the development of international law through a series of case studies, starting with Spanish intervention in the Americas in 1493 and ending with the use of drones by the USA in the Middle East starting in 2004. Imperialism, in other words, has been the driver of international law.
