Advising

Students who wish to major in History need to see a History advisor. Full details about the majors program are in the Undergraduate Handbook, a print version of which is also available in the History Department office. To become a history major, please fill out the Advising Form (also available on the back counter of the History office), and take it and a photocopy of your most recent unofficial grades to the advisor. You can print a statement of grades from the Student Services Website. Although you can declare your major though UBC's Student Service Centre, you should consult a Faculty adviser before registering for classes. Plan to attend the annual Advising Meeting for Prospective History Majors in late March when you can sign up with a History Adviser.

Advisers are available in person or by telephone on selected days throughout the year (see below).
